Ok so you want verizon DSL? upto 768kbps and for 19.99/month. Well I got it and its really awsome with comparison to dial-up but verizon provides a really poor service so becareful and dont cancle your dialup subscription until after your dsl is up and rnning.

So lets see what are the steps you have to take to get dsl. Dont think so its jst to go online at verizondsl.com and ordering and you got it. eh its not the case. You do the order, get the confirmation and get the package in time but when you open the pakcage you look around and see the modem, on the back the little sticker says “april fool” (insert the cd first). now you look for the cd but there is no installation disk. You go online or you call the 1-800-567-6789 number, tell them the situation and if you are lucky the lady answered me first time will ask the questions her self like did you get the filters? wall mount jack? etc and unfortunately the system wont load so she will apologise and tells you that she will call back.

you are so disgusted over the situation that you go online and send an email, get the confirmation that the email has been sent and you will recieve a reply in one-two business days. next day you recieve the reply that a cd has been sent to you and in the mean time you can use the online link over dialup to creat an account which will take a whole night to setup.

Once you get the installation disk you insert it and you realize that filters are missing too. now you want to cry over the situation but since the filters are for fone only so you setup the dsl account. So whats next? the ethernet wont work at all.

You again call the customer service because your modem isnt working with ethernet cable and you want it for windows vista. now this time you are not lucky so the lady wont ask any questions and will send you only one installation disk. so what you get by the end of week? three installation disk on three different days. a disk each day. funny?

My advise is to contact verizon both on fone and online. if the guy named yousaf replies you just stick to him. he would take some actions himself and then will redirect you to someone. because the next time I contacted verizon via online the next person jst redirected me to customer service support fone. I am very sorry that I dont remember the name of the lady who answered me on fone for the first time I contacted them. yousaf and that lady seems to work at verizon rest jst redirects you to each other. I appriciated both of you guys.

Verizon did credit my account 20.00 dollars for the poor service and inconvenience. (atleast they say so) speed is awsome and almost double over windows vista with compare to windows xp. so VERIZON we never stop workin for you. they mean it some work and some work while redirecting
